Who is Summitview?

At Summitview Community Church we have tried to make church a place that people enjoy. We are not too flashy, but we are not too stuffy either. We have a cool band and teachings that relate to matters that will help you in real life. We aren't hell fire and brim stone, but we don't gloss over difficult truths either. When you leave church on Sunday morning, we want you to leave feeling encouraged and challenged, not oppressed and condemned. Most of all, we are a family committed to each other and to God, and we'd love to have you join us.

What Makes Us Unique?
It's the people...

Why did God give rules, and why in particular the Ten Commandments? God's rules tells us a lot about who God is and what is important to Him. Embedded within the Ten Commandments is the key to the relationship between God's law and His love. Join us as we discover that God's law was not given as a condition of a relationship but rather as confirmation that there already is a relationship.

Think It Through

"Think It Through" is a set of tools (a blog and a weekly handout) designed for those who want to go deeper into the weekend message throughout the week. Think It Through consists of thought questions, Monday through Friday readings, prayers, and next steps. Our Fellowship Teams may also use them to center their discussions around.

HSLT

H.S.L.T. stands for High School Leadership Training and each year we bring students and their parents together for intense training on how to be leaders for Christ in our world.

The theme for this year is "worldliness." No one wakes up in the morning wanting to think about worldliness or about how it may have crept into our lives. But if we are going to be a disciple of Jesus, then we must ask serious questions like: "What does it mean to follow Christ in this world?" and "How can I be effective in building God's kingdom in this world?"

All of the important information for this year's HSLT will be posted on the HSLT blog so be in the "know" about HSLT by visiting often for all of the latest updates - or better yet, sign-up for email delivery of new posts.
